OSSADA Software is developed for the Filtration Plant Management System. Filtration plants are typically constructed near water resources—rivers, reservoirs, or lakes—which are often located far away from towns, cities, and supervisory engineering departments. This geographical distance makes day-to-day monitoring and assessment extremely challenging for plant operators and municipal authorities. OSSADA overcomes this through integrated software and hardware installed at the plant, ensuring reliable remote monitoring, reducing manual effort, and improving efficiency in municipal water management.

After developing the Hardware and software in 2006, our team manager 'Janaki Rama Rao' suggested the name OSSADA. The Department of Public Health and RWS Engineers evaluated several options and unanimously chose OSSADA, recognizing its technical similarity to SCADA while highlighting its water-specific purpose. Following this, the department awarded us a work order for a demonstration project in Siddipet (Water Supply Improvement Scheme at Yerracheruvu). The Siddipet pilot project's success led to a landmark SSR meeting where Public Health, RWS, GHMWS, Water Board, and other departments collectively reviewed our technical data and made a historic decision:

OSSADA implementation became mandatory for all water treatment plants in the SSR (Schedule of Standard Rates). From that day to today, the OSSADA technical specifications we provided continue to be the standard in government water projects. OSSADA is a complete application—not just software—developed specifically for filtration plant requirements through different versions, each tailored to meet all essential plant features and operational needs.

Jaya Prakash Flow Solutions has been pioneering OSSADA technology for over two decades, working closely with the Rural Water Supply (RWS) and Public Health Engineering departments to develop solutions tailored to their exact needs. We are the only company in India exclusively dedicated to filtration plant automation and monitoring systems. We take immense pride in having developed OSSADA and continue to serve municipalities across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh with innovative, reliable, and affordable water management solutions that truly work.

The Jaggayyapet Water Treatment Plant (WTP) plays a vital role in ensuring the supply of safe and clean drinking water to the residents of Jaggayyapet town in the NTR district of Andhra Pradesh. Located in a region close to major water sources like the Krishna River and its tributaries, the plant supports both domestic and municipal water needs. With landscaped surroundings and a clean design, the plant reflects the municipality’s commitment to public health and urban development. The facility plays a vital role in supporting more than 30 wards with potable water every day.

With a treatment capacity of 12 Million Liters per Day (MLD), the plant uses Rapid Sand Filtration (RSF) technology combined with conventional treatment stages. This process allows for effective removal of impurities and ensures that the treated water meets public health standards. The primary purpose of the plant is to provide potable water to more than 30 wards of Jaggayyapet Municipality. By combining modern technology with careful management, the facility supports the town’s growing population and contributes to sustainable urban development.

💧

Purpose and Importance

Water treatment plants are designed to remove impurities, harmful bacteria, and suspended particles from raw water collected from natural sources such as rivers, lakes, and groundwater.

Safe Drinking Water

Provide safe, clean water to the public

Public Health

Maintain public health and hygiene standards

Urban Development

Support urban development and industrial needs

Sustainability

Ensure environmental sustainability

Why Treatment is Essential: Untreated water may contain contaminants that can cause serious health issues. Water treatment plants are critical infrastructure for public health protection.
⚙️

Treatment Process

The Jaggayyapet Water Treatment Plant follows standard water purification steps to ensure the highest quality drinking water:

1

Intake and Screening

Raw water is collected and large debris like leaves, plastic, and stones are removed through screening systems.

2

Coagulation and Flocculation

Chemicals (like Alum) are added to bind small particles into larger clusters called flocs, making them easier to remove.

3

Sedimentation

Heavy particles and flocs settle at the bottom of clarifiers, separating from the cleaner water above.

4

Filtration

Water passes through sand or multi-media filters to remove remaining fine particles and impurities.

5

Disinfection

Chlorine or other disinfectants are added to kill harmful bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms.

6

Storage and Distribution

Clean, treated water is stored in overhead and ground tanks, then distributed to households through pipeline networks.
